Hilton Head and Bluffton Foreclosure Properties January 2014

Hilton Head and Bluffton Foreclosure Properties January 2014Though I still get questions from people saying that they are looking for a foreclosure property or a 'good deal' in general my response has to be that the market for those properties has dramatically dried up.

At the moment there are only 10 properties on the market that are actually 'foreclosure' or REO properties as we call them in real estate. The term REO means that it is real estate owned. In South Carolina any property has to go through an entire process and finally at the Beaufort County courthouse, a lender will take a property back and then eventually, it will be placed on the market for sale.

They are priced from as low as $132,100 to a high of $1,399,000. The square footage for these properties ranges from 1280 to 3067. You'll need to be prepared to act quickly since the properties tend to close in 30 - 60 days.

Two of these properties have been on the market for less than 2 weeks;

3 Sullivans Lane, located in Carolina Isles is a 4 bedroom 2 and 1/2 bathroom home with 2027 square feet listed for $269,900. Originally purchased for $316,900 in 2009.

6 Delta Lane, located in the prestigious Long Cove, is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2057 square foot home listed for $459,900. It was originally purchased for $500,000.
