Bicycling Job Potential on Hilton Head Spring Summer 2014
People often ask me what they can do when they move here permanently. This is a lively island and it's fun to share all that you can see and do. Bicycling has really increased in popularity and the Town of Hilton Head Island is really recognizing that. If you love the island, and love to bicycle, this new job opportunity may be right up your alley.
(This information just appeared in our local newspaper, The Island Packet.)
Check out my post about bike paths and then if this sounds like something you'd enjoy, contact the Town of Hilton Head Island's Bicycle Advisory Committee. They are seeking individuals to help foster a welcoming environment and enhance safety on the island's bike paths.
The volunteer bike ambassadors provide directions, maps, safety fliers and limited first aid and bike maintenance to visiting cyclists. Volunteers will work during the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, set for April 14-21, and during the visitor season from June 1 to Aug. 10, according to a news release.
